Westmont Chamber has big plans for September

August 29, 2012 by

The Westmont Chamber of Commerce’s September calendar certainly does not disappoint with business professionals being offered a chance to attend a meeting for those who run their businesses from home. With the Westmont Oktoberfest Celebration being hosted towards the end of the month as well, it is clear that there are a few added incentives for giving this one a try.

Freelancers, Internet-based entrepreneurs, sellers, and pretty much anyone who offers a product or service at home have the option of attending the chamber’s ‘Home Based Business Owners Meeting’ on September 19. Beginning in the evening with a listed start time of 6:00 pm and expected to last for about an hour, this is as good an opportunity as any for business owners who work from home to provide support for each other while also facilitating conversation and giving attendees a chance to learn from other experienced individuals.

Being hosted by the Westmont Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau, this meet-up is free for both members and guests.

The event that will undoubtedly have print companies hard at work is the Westmont Oktoberfest Celebration. Being hosted on September 29 at the Knights of Columbus Hall and Courtyard on Cass Avenue, this one is going to feature beer, wine, food, games, dancing, and live music. Also starting at 6:00 pm and wrapping up in roughly four hours, there are obious attractions here as well.

Those who would like to be a part of the Oktoberfest Celebration are being encouraged to contact the chamber office for more information.
