Trick-or-treating goes downtown

October 26, 2012 by

An annual event is taking place in downtown Westmont tomorrow, October 27, which will provide the youngsters with a safe and fun way to enjoy the Halloween Trick or Treating season.

The Downtown Westmont Trick or Treat Trail is hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by many of the businesses located in the downtown core of the community of Westmont.

Everyone is invited to put on their Halloween costume and come downtown to join in the Halloween festivities. It all takes place in the area bordered by North Cass Avenue, Naperville Road, South Cass Avenue, and Dallas Street and businesses participating in this event will have a ‘Halloween Trick or Treat’ sign provided by the Chamber of Commerce, so families know which businesses are participating in this event. Every business with one of the Chamber’s signs will be handing out candies and goodies along the Halloween Trail. Businesses are encouraged to register in advance of the event, with the Chamber office, so realistically this will need to be done today.

Poster printing and flyer printing may have been used to promote this safe and fun Halloween activity to families in this community and surrounding areas. Admission is free and everyone is welcome to attend.

The Westmont ‘Halloween Trick or Treat Trail’ will be run from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm tomorrow, October 27, in the Downtown Westmont Business District in Westmont, Illinois. To register a business, or for additional details, visit the Westmont Chamber of Commerce website or call Larry Forssberg at the Chamber Office during business hours.
