Orland Park prepares for the holidays

Two events coming up in Orland Park will no doubt get people in the holiday mood and thinking of what gifts they want to buy this year, or where they wish to celebrate with friends and family.

Firstly, Dave and Buster’s is inviting all Orland Park Area Chamber of Commerce members and their friends to its annual Holiday Showcase next week. It is aimed at showcasing the restaurant as a place to hold holiday office holiday parties or other special events. It will feature a holiday buffet, cocktails, midway games, and raffles – all of which is free of charge.

The Arts and Crafts Fair at the Presbyterian Church is also taking place this November, and is set to feature a wide variety of arts and crafts for sale such as handmade jewelry, works of art, and ceramics.

Vendors can rent 8×4 1/2 foot table space for $30 or a whole table for $35. It is likely that many Orland Park artisans will take advantage of this to promote their businesses. Local printing companies are also probably helping them prepare by providing items such as banners or signs to make their area more attractive to buyers.

The Holiday Showcase at Dave and Buster’s is taking place on November 4 from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm. For more information, call 708-349-2972.

After this, the Arts and Crafts Fair is taking place at the Presbyterian Church on November 9 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Call 708-448-8142 to find out more about this event or to become a vendor.
