Help Kick Off Summer With Arts and Crafts Expo

April 20, 2012 by

The “Summer Kick-off” arts and crafts expo will take place at the Orland Park Civic Center on May 20 from 9 am-3 pm. The first 100 people through the doors will receive a beach ball.

The theme of the expo is Memorial Day and will feature lots of patriotic decorations, beach balls and U.S. flags. There are expected to be over 85 vendors selling items such as woodwork, metal art, clay art, fine art, jewelry, dog toys and accessories, food concessions, raffles and prizes. Companies such as Mary Kay Cosmetics, Partylite and Pampered Chef will also be selling their products during the expo. The vendors will be mostly local companies who would like there company to become better known in the community and to showcase their artwork. A Boy Scout troop and a female vocalist will be performing songs throughout the day. A portion of proceeds from the raffle tickets benefits St. Jude’s Cancer Foundation.

Vendors are charged a fee for a six foot table, two chairs and electricity. They might want to decorate those tables with decorations that fit in with the Memorial Day theme. Orland Park printing companies can provide them with banner printing services to draw attention to their table. They can also provide them with a variety of flags, signage and posters to highlight a specific product or service.

Local arts and crafts expos are great for finding a unique and reasonable priced gift for a friend or loved one and they are also a great place for local artists to showcase their artworks.
