Fair on the lookout for artists and sponsors

The 2nd annual Fine Art Fair is taking place in Orland Park this July, and organizers are to spend the next few weeks looking for artists and sponsors for this popular annual event.

Artists and craftspeople who wish to be included in the show must submit two photographic samples of their work. Organizers are looking for jewelry makers, potters, artists, printmakers, and all variety art-minded locals who wish to sell and showcase their items at the fair, perhaps making a name for themselves in doing so.

Registration is $100 for a 10×10 foot booth and the fee must be included with the application. As well as being an exposure opportunity for artists, it should also be the perfect place for the public to find original and handmade items suitable for gift giving. Sponsorships are available too, priced from $100 to $500, and all sponsors will be recognized at the event on signs and banners.

The fair is a joint presentation of the Village of Orland Park, the Orland Park Area Chamber of Commerce, and Orland Park Crossing. It is very likely that organizers will be working with local print companies to prepare for the event by investing in services like sign and banner printing.

The deadline to apply for the fair is June 28, and it will be held at the Orland Park Crossing Shopping Center from July 20 – 21. Artisans who wish to sell their arts and crafts can contact Donna at 708-349-2972, as can local businesses interested in sponsoring the event.
