Learn all about Oak Park at Scoville Park

The 39th annual A Day in Our Village event will take place at Scoville Park and Rehm Park on June 3rd. This is a free event and free shuttles will be operating between each venue.

A Day in Our Village is meant to celebrate the diversity of Oak Park and to educate those who live there about all that their community has to offer them. There will be over 100 activity and information booths set up in Scoville Park. Various organizations and local merchants will have the opportunity to showcase all that they can offer to the community and highlighting opportunities in which citizens can take part. These organizations will be representing civic, cultural, educational and religious organizations; there will be information on how individuals can serve their community. Local merchants will be out in force to showcase their newest products and/or services and might very well be providing sample of their merchandise. Food will also be for sale from area restaurants.

The activities at Rehm Park will include swimming and games for the family.

In order to effectively educate the Oak Park public about all that is available in their community organizations will most likely be looking to local printing companies to provide them with brochures, posters and banner printing services.

There is no doubt that this annual event will surprise people who do not realize just how many organizations serve the community and will encourage many of get personally involved in the betterment of Oak Park.
