Enjoy an egg hunt in Oak Park

February 17, 2012 by

The Egg Hunt will take place at Ridgeland Common on March 31. Tickets are free but must be purchased in advance. The event will also be ‘celebrating a century of fun at the Park District at Oak Park.’

Easter is quickly coming up and one of the holiday’s most treasured traditions is an Easter egg hunt. This one will involve “extra special anniversary prizes”, a free photo booth and 100th anniversary cupcakes. Donations to the Oak Park River Forest Food Panty will also be appreciated, especially baby items such as baby food, diapers, formula, cereal and oatmeal. The Food Pantry serves several communities in Cook County; clients must meet certain income guidelines and residency requirements and only receive help once a month. In addition to food, the Food Pantry also provides nutritional and benefits counseling.

Oak Park printing companies no doubt will be helping design and print the decorations necessary to make the event look special. Banners will highlight the various areas, tables will be festooned with decorations of the Easter Bunny and of eggs and there will most likely be posters hung around town to remind people of the upcoming event.

Kids love to take part in egg hunts and this one will be no exception. It is a perfect treat for your children, and for you. Spending time at this event as a family will help bring you all closer together. An egg hunt will also give you and your children a lot of exercise while you run around looking for all those eggs.
