There are two very different festivals taking place in the Morton Grove area early in October. One is a celebration of folk music and the other is aimed at bringing more business to the area. Both events have something of value to offer to those who plan to attend.

The Grove Folk Fest will take place at The Grove in Glenview on October 7 from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm. Featuring, among other things, several folk music acts, square dancing, hayrides, storytelling, a pie tent, a flute circle, and crafts and gifts for sale, It will be a great outing suitable for the whole family.

Likely to attract visitors from all over the area, including nearby Morton Grove. Organizers have no doubt worked with local printing companies to create the flyer that is being used to advertise the Fest. Tickets are $4, or $1 for children aged 12 and under, and more information can be found by calling 847-299-6096.

On October 10, the Glenview Chamber of Commerce will be holding its Fall Business Festival at the Park Center in the Glen from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm. This is a free event open to the public, although Chamber members can gain exclusive access from 4:30 pm. This will probably be a great networking opportunity for the business professionals who arrive for early access. Chamber members will be showcasing their companies by exhibiting their latest products or providing information to consumers. For more information, contact Katie at 847-724-0900.
