Swing into Spring seeks to educate seniors

March 26, 2013 by

The Swing into Spring Senior Expo, aimed at those 55 and over, will take place in Niles next month and is a presentation of the MaineStreamers.

It will feature up to 75 commercial exhibitors from such businesses as housing, healthcare, and financial services. There will also be free health screenings, raffles, entertainment, and information booths for non-profit and charity organizations. Seniors who do attend will probably find that they will learn a lot about what is available to them in the community.

Exhibitors will also be exposed to a group of people who may not have previously been aware of their products or services and will likely find that some will become regular customers. Non-profit organizations might also attract some new volunteers or donations.

Exhibitors can rent an eight-foot table for $300 for commercial companies or $250 for non-profit and charity organizations. Sponsorships are also available for local businesses from $100 for a goodie bag insert up to $2,500 for an event partner. All sponsors will be recognized at the event on banners and will likely come from all over the area, including nearby Morton Grove. Organizers are probably working with local printing companies at the moment to design and print such promotional paraphernalia.

The 7th Swing into Spring Senior Expo will take place at the Golf Mill Shopping Center in Niles on April 19 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Admission is free and everyone will receive a goodie bag. For more information, call Maine Township at 847-720-4495.
