July 4, 2012 by

On Monday, July 16, the Marrionettes Puppet Soup will be taking place at the Des Plaines Public Library in Des Plaines, Illinois. This event begins at 1:30 pm and runs until 2:30 pm.

Featuring Chef Wolfgang Puppenspiel, who demonstrates live how to cook a scrumptious batch of yummy Puppet Soup, the audience will be introduced to a variety of interesting and memorable puppet characters and performances throughout the show. The puppet showcase is performed on a variety show platform and various food-themed characters will be presented, including Chicago Red, a real Chicago jumbo hot-dogger on sassy roller blades, a spicy hot South American plate, and some spun sugar Candy treats.. Children and their parents will no doubt enjoy this comedy performance and leave with smiles on their faces. There is free parking outside the facility.

Dave Herzog has spent more than 38 years as a professional performing puppeteer. He has performed thousands of shows at various locations and venues. He received his first marionette at the age of four and the rest is history. A variety showcase, performed by Dave Harzog’s Marionettes, involves the use of many puppets and many different storylines. For more information about the various shows, stop by his website.

To help ensure a healthy attendance, poster printing and flyer printing may have been used to promote this marionette variety showcase to patrons of the library and the public. Admission is free and everyone is welcome. For more information, please visit the Des Plaines Public Library website or call 847-376-2792.
