Chambers to recognize high-achieving local women

April 28, 2013 by

The North Shore Women’s Conference and Expo is due to take place in just a few days’ time in Skokie. An annual event, it is sponsored by 21 local chambers of commerce including the Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce.

The conference will feature over 80 exhibitors, a keynote speaker, lunch, and workshops, with over 400 area women expected to attend this year.

For 2013, the keynote speaker is journalist Marianne Murciano, and there will also be several workshops presented by Nancy Gerstein and Amy Spitzer on topics such as ‘Top five ways to brand your business for more business: getting your brand noticed’.

Guests can also have their resume reviewed by experts or sit for a free headshot photograph. This will be a great chance for business-minded women in the area to network with one another, stay informed of the latest business trends, and discover new business opportunities.

Organizers of the event, which is bound to draw women from all over the North Shore, including Morton Grove, have no doubt begun working with local printing companies to help with marketing. Plans for advertising the event may well include use of posters, press releases, website links, and advertisements in various local newspapers and magazines.

The North Shore Women’s Conference and Expo will take place at Holiday Inn Skokie on May 3 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. Tickets are $32 per person. Those who are interested are invited to call the Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce at 847-965-0330 for more information.
