Celebrate Independence Day in Morton Grove

June 18, 2012 by

The Morton Grove Days 4th of July Festival will take part at Harrer Park from June 30 to July 4 beginning at 2:00 pm and going until 11:00 pm each day. An unlimited rides pass is available for $45 for the four days of the festival.

The festival is run by the Morton Grove Days Commission, whose mission is “to bring families and neighborhoods together” and sponsored by the Morton Grove Park District and the Village of Morton Grove. It will feature carnival rides and games, a beer garden, food, entertainment, and bands such as Big Fun and Girl Power. The Village of Morton Grove will also be holding a parade on July 4, beginning at 2:30 pm, which will run from Dempster Street to Harrer Park. The parade will feature several marching bands, floats, and community organizations such as Girl and Boy Scouts. The evening will be capped off with a fireworks display.

Sponsorships are also available from $50 to $3,500. Sponsors will be named in the event program, in advertising and on event signage. Morton Grove printing companies will no doubt be helping the organizing commission prepare for the event by providing banner printing and sign printing services. Harrer Park will be decorated with banners, flags, and other patriotic decorations.

July 4 is the most important holiday of the year to most people and a multi-day festival like Morton Grove Days is the perfect way to celebrate with the family. There will be lots of fun to be had and quite probably some history to be learned along the way.
