Annual dinner in Morton Grove will honor local couple

The Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce and Industry is presenting their 35th annual VIP and Awards dinner at the Chateau Ritz on February 2 beginning at 5:30 pm. Tickets are $40 with choice of dinner.

The dinner will start off with cocktails at 5:30 which will allow for networking opportunities with your fellow Morton Grove area business peers.

This year, the dinner will be honouring Jim and Yvette Karp. The couple are very involved with charity work through the Morton Grove Foundation and both enjoy working with area youth; Jim Karp is a local businessman and his wife is the president of the Morton Grove Baseball/Softball Organization. The Chamber will also be handing out the Member of the Year Award during the dinner.

It is important that business people like Jim Karp get involved with charities in their community. It shows that they care about the people they serve and the community in which the live and work; that is always good for business. If you do get involved with local charities, Morton Grove printing companies can help you to let the public know about it by creating banners for events or flyers to let your customers know about any upcoming charity events in which your company is involved in.

The Morton Grove Foundation helps local charities, schools and community organisations; its mission is “to provide resources to benefit the welfare, education, environment and safety of area residents.” The Foundation holds several charity events throughout the year including their most popular event The Taste of Morton Grove which takes place in March.
