McHenry dinner all set to mean business

December 30, 2012 by

The McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce will be holding its annual dinner this January with the theme of this year’s dinner being ‘The Derby Dance: Run for the Roses’. In addition to a four-course dinner, there will be complimentary cocktails, a sweet table, free beverages, dancing to the music of Lori Shane and the Mix, and a raffle. In addition, several awards will be handed out, including the Frank E. Low Award for community service, Board Member of the Year, and Ambassador of the Year.

These dinners are a great networking opportunity for both chamber members and future members. In addition, chamber member businesses and individuals are recognized for their services to the business community. It is a chance for those who are new to the area to be introduced to a large number of chamber members and to help grow their referral networks.

There will also be plenty of time for networking during dinner. It’s likely that some of the McHenry businesspersons who plan to attend will be arranging for business card printing in advance. They will want to ensure that their contact information is current and that they have enough cards, as they look forward to a strong 2013 in business.

The ‘Derby Dance’ will take place at the Andrea Banquets and Conference Center on January 26, beginning at 6:00 pm. Tickets are $95 per person, $720 for a table of eight, or $850 for a table of 10. For more information, call 815-385-4300.
