Enjoy great music and support those with autism

The 4th annual Rockin’ for a Cause event will take place at Neighbor’s Bar and Grill next Saturday, June 30 from 1:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Tickets are $5.

Those who attend will be treated to music from such bands as the Smokin’ Opies, the Blues Hawks, Chasing Mojo, the Clark Colborn Band, and Pistol Pete, beginning at 3:00 pm. There will also be ongoing raffles, great food, and drink specials. A poker run will take place from 10:00 pm until midnight, starting at Neighbor’s and moving on to other venues. An after-party will also be held on the deck of Neighbor’s Bar and Grill with music from Poets Dance. The event will be raising money to support the Autism Society of Illinois, hoping to beat last year’s Rockin’ for a Cause, which raised over $2,500.

Loves Park printing companies will no doubt be helping the organizers to prepare for the event by providing services such as poster printing and flyer printing. The key to this being a successful event is letting people know that it is happening. Posters hung around town and flyers delivered door to door will ensure that the community is aware of this event.

The Autism Society of Illinois provides services to those with autism and their families. These services include education, training for care givers, assistance for families, and support for those dealing with the condition.

Rockin’ for a Cause is a great way to show that the community cares and is always willing to help those in need.
