Edgebrook to unearth new artists

September 23, 2012 by

The 38th annual Cider n’ Cinnamon Arts and Crafts Fair will take place at Edgebrook Shops, with over 55 local artists set to take part this year.

Accompanied by the stores of Edgebrook, the artists will be selling everything from jewelry to candles to paintings to pumpkin art. In keeping with the name of the fair, cider and cinnamon roasted nuts will be available, as will donuts and other tempting food choices.

This is a juried fair, which means those taking part had to apply to be included. Artists who applied paid a $100 application fee, which covered a 10 x 10 booth space if they were selected. Those accepted may only show items that suit the genre for which they applied.

Stores taking part in the fair are likely to be offering special incentives or sales to their customers and will be setting up booths in front of their building. The fair should draw people from all over the area, including nearby Loves Park. Stores could help to notify all those in surrounding areas about the fair by using flyer printing services to help get the word out. The flyer could include all the information about the event and even offer a money-saving coupon to those who make their way to the store.

The crafts fair is a free event and is coming up not too far away from now on October 6 and 7. Please contact Andrea Mandala at 815-398-8957 for more information.
