The 41st annual Young at Heart Festival will take place at the Loves Park City Hall Grounds from May 25-28. Admission is $6 for a button for all four days or $8 at the door; children eight and under are admitted free with an adult. A ride wristband is available for $17 for each day and family pack is available for $24 which includes four buttons and $2 off the ride wristband.

The festival, which is presented by the Parks Chamber of Commerce, will feature amusement rides including a lighted ferris wheel, carnival games, musical guests such as the Blooze Brothers and Jim Gill, food concessions and a beer garden. Other events will include: Young at Heart Idol; an American Idol-style contest with categories for those aged 11-15, 16-20 and 20 and up that will involve cash prizes; the Young at Heart Pageant; the Young at Heart Fishing Derby; and the Young at Heart Parade.

Those attending are set to be wowed with a firework spectacular on the evening of May 26, and on May 28 there will be a Memorial Day variety show. Kids’ Day takes place on May 27 and ride wristbands will only be $10 for the day; throughout the day will feature children’s entertainers, Billy the Balloon Guy and a craft tent.

Loves Park printing companies will be looking to offer their services to the organizers of the event by providing the buttons and wristbands needed, as well as the poster printing services to help in promoting the event in the community.
