Annual event will showcase Parks chamber members

The Parks Chamber of Commerce is holding its 9th annual Business Expo this February in Loves Park.

The expo is planned as a way to showcase member companies and to bring them more business. Each one that registers will receive a six foot table or a similar sized area; those who register and don’t appear will be charged $25.

The day will start off with a pancake breakfast for exhibitors and the general public. Exhibitors are being asked to provide items for a door prize; these will be drawn every half hour throughout the morning.

It will be a great networking opportunity for chamber members and a way to make their companies knows to the over 250 guests who are expected to attend the expo. Most exhibitors will likely provide a stack of business cards on their tables for anyone who wants one.

The chamber will be publicizing the expo in the Loves Park area. This may include purchasing marketing materials such as booklets and flyers from local printing companies. Both items are inexpensive but effective and they can spread word about an event quickly; they can be sent by direct mail, displayed at local malls and even handed out on the street.

The Business Expo is taking place at Loves Park City Hall Gym on February 22 from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Admission is free. To find out more about attending the event or how to register as an exhibitor, call 815-633-3999.
