Winter baseball camp touches base in Lansing

Even though winter is here and the holidays are upon us, many children and adults are no doubt already thinking of the upcoming Little League baseball season, with new skills to learn and skills to be improved for those who plan to play the game. The Mickey Morandini 2013 Indoor Winter Baseball Camp will allow children and their coaches to improve their skills this winter.

The camp runs for eight weeks and is divided by age group. Camp one is for those aged 10-12 and costs $150, camp two is for those aged 13-14 and costs $175, camp three is a coaches clinic for all ages and costs $80, camp four is for kids aged 5-7 and costs $125, and camp five is for those aged 8-9 and costs $135. All five camps are open to both boys and girls. A $25 deposit is required for each.

The camp is sponsored by the Illiana Thunderbolts Travel Baseball Program. There is no doubt that those who attend the camp will improve their Little League skills. Children will probably come from areas other than lansing to attend this camp, so it is very likely that local printing companies will be helping design and print flyers that can be distributed to various schools, Little League teams and their coaches, and community centers.

The Mickey Morandini 2013 Indoor Winter Baseball Camp will take place at the Ho chunk Baseball Complex from January 6 to March 4. For more information call 708-473-5051.
