Holiday Marketplace announces its presence and presents
October 31, 2012 by James
November’s ‘Holiday Marketplace’ is a presentation of the Village of Glenwood Park Programs and will feature children’s activities, holiday snacks, and raffles for people to get in a suitably festive mood.
Vendors will be offering such items as jewelry, clothing, crafts, Christmas ornaments, handmade items, and commercial items. An excellent opportunity for shoppers to begin, continue, or finish their holiday shopping, it will also be a chance for local artists and crafters to share their items with the community and to possibly get some future commissions. Vendors can rent a table and two chairs for $25 per day.
Vendors are likely to come from all over the region, including nearby lansing, to sell their items at the Holiday Marketplace. Many will probably be working alongside local printing companies in preparation by availing themselves of such services as banner printing. A banner hung over a table might get more passers-by to stop at the table, while a business card will help them to make their name known in the community. Organizers of the marketplace have already created a flyer about the event that will probably be distributed to various stores, public libraries and community centers, and will no doubt be seen by many locals as the event approaches.
The 3rd annual Holiday Marketplace will take place at the Glenwoodie Golf Club on November 17 – 18. Admission is free and there should be a wealth of items to tempt the discerning Christmas shopper. For more information, call 708-757-2318.
