Northwest Fourth-Fest will have plenty for everyone

The Northwest Fourth-Fest is taking place over five days this July and will feature a variety of different events for people of all ages.

There will be a Fourth of July Parade with the theme of ‘This land is your land’. Participants will be competing for various awards, including the Mayor’s Cup and the Patriotic award. Food pantry donations will be collected all along the parade route.

The 27th annual Arts and Crafts Fair and Business Expo will take place during the last two days of the festival. Area artists and businesses will have the change to showcase their works of art and new products, while providing information on their businesses. It is shaping up to be a great networking opportunity for all of those involved.

Other events taking place during Northwest Fourth-Fest will include bingo games, music from groups such as Modern Day Romeos and Barefoot Hawaiian, a village bicycle ride, fireworks, and a bike auction. Ways to keep the children occupied will include carnival rides, a bike and trike parade, a climbing wall, and pony rides.

Organizers have more than likely contacted Hoffman Estates printing companies to prepare for the festival. They might invest in such products as flyers and posters for marketing the event in the city and other nearby communities.

The Northwest Fourth-Fest will take place at the Sears Centre Arena from July 3-7. Many of its events are free, although concerts cost $10 each and wristbands must be purchased for amusements rides. For more information about the festival, call 847-252-5446.
