Health and beauty the focus as expo shapes up

The ‘Celebrating You – Total Body Health and Beauty Expo’ is being held in Hoffman Estates in just a few weeks’ time. While the expo is directed mainly at women, men will no doubt be interested in some of the activities as well.

On the day, there are expected to be at least 70 vendors selling everything from clothing to self-help books. Guests can also receive free health screenings for their blood pressure and cholesterol, and also take advantage of discounted flu shots. There will also be cooking demonstrations, food samples to enjoy, and guest speakers.

Some of the discussions will include ‘Beauty and the bank’ presented by Judy McNiff, ‘The recipe for relationship happiness’ with Kevin Darne, and ‘Avoid the holiday calorie crunch’ hosted by Peggy Balboa.

In addition, several raffles are being held throughout the day that will raise funds for Austin‘s Foundation, which raises awareness and funds to fight child abuse.

Local businesses are being encouraged to donate items to the raffles, and could also consider working with Hoffman Estates print companies to produce a flyer that can be sent to their current customers telling them about the donation and the event. This may have the result of attracting more people to the event itself.

The expo is set to take place at The Stonegate on November 7 from 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Tickets are $5 per person. To find out more about the day’s activities, call 847-854-2744.
