Less than 20 miles away from Hickory Hills, Thinking for a Change will be holding its next networking luncheon in Downers Grove on January 10th, 2012.

Thinking for a Change is a group that has tries to emphasize the ability of its members to make a difference in the community and the world at large. Having built its foundation on the principles of relationships and mutual trust, Thinking for a Change has since managed to attract almost 140 members.

Event organizers have summed everything up as follows:

“This group was started for all of us to get to know new people, learn what they do, let them know what we do, connect on a more personal level to build relationships (after all isn’t building relationships what it is all about?) People work with people they know, like and trust and that is what we are trying to build here.”

At this event, everyone present will be able to give a 60-second elevator pitch. The professionals attending this networking meet-up will need a steady amount of business card printing as well as the ability to summarize.

Taking place at Emmett’s Ale House in Downer’s Grove, participants will also be able to enjoy an excellent meal. With the Thinking for a Change business networking group meeting at 11:15 a.m. however, those planning to attend will likely need to do a bit of scheduling ahead of time.

With the low cost of $14.00 being used to cover the cost of lunch and other expenses, this is also an affordable event. One that’s well worth travelling for in any case.
