Hickory Hills kids to get in festive mood

December 13, 2013 by

Tomorrow afternoon, a Children’s Christmas Party is inviting kids to come out and join in the planned Christmas festivities. The event is sponsored by the City of Hickory Hills Community Affairs Commission and the Hickory Hills Park District. These groups might have used flyer printing and poster printing to spread the word about this event to the families in this community, as this is a resident’s event only.

As part of the fun, children will have the opportunity to visit with Santa Claus and tell him what they would like for Christmas this year, hear a special performance being put on by the Violin Band, see a performance by the local pompoms team, and enjoy the funny holiday show ‘The Flying Fool’. There will also be face painting and each child will receive a balloon sculpture, as well as a bag of holiday candy from Santa when they visit him.

No registration is required for this event and it is free to attend, although it is only open to people residing in the community. Parents are reminded to bring a camera and get some great shot of their children enjoying the holiday fun, which could then be developed by a local print company.

The Children’s Christmas Party will be held tomorrow, December 14, starting at 12:45 pm at the Kruger Park Gym in Hickory Hills, Illinois. To learn more about this event, visit the Hickory Hills Park District website or call 708-599-7337.
