Gifts spread over lunch in upcoming seniors’ event

December 9, 2012 by

The Gifts Galore Luncheon, designed for those of at least 50 years of age, will help bring in the festival holiday season for many in senior centers and nursing homes. This luncheon event requires that each person planning to attend registers to reserve their seating.

This special senior luncheon is being hosted by the Hickory Hills Park District and brings seniors from around the community together to enjoy a delicious catered meal featuring a selection of traditional foods and a range of holiday desserts. There are also a number of holiday games and activities planned by host Santa Dan. This luncheon is only open to Hickory Hills residents, and the volunteers of the Park District. During this special function, each guest that is registered will receive a lovely gift sent direct from the ‘North Pole’. At this special time of year, this is a great opportunity for seniors to visit and catch up with others in the community, while enjoying a special outing.

The Hickory Hills Park District may well has promoted this event in all the senior centers and senior complexes using poster printing services provided by local printing companies. The cost is $4 per person, with seating for a maximum of 125 people. The Gifts Galore Luncheon is being held on Tuesday, December 18, from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm at the Kruger Park Gym located at 9100 S. 88th Avenue in Hickory Hills. To reserve your luncheon seat, please visit the Hickory Hills Park District website or call its office at 708-599-7337.
