Safety first this weekend in Gurnee

Promising a day of family fun and entertainment, as well as an educational venue for fire safety and prevention, the Fire Safety Expo is set to blaze in Gurnee this weekend.
The annual event and gives families in the area a way to spend some great quality time together, and local brochure printers are likely to have been kept busy to make sure that attendees have informational literature to take home.
People will be able to enjoy a number of live demonstrations, including a ‘jaws of life’ presentation, and will also be able to take a ride on the community’s fire truck. There will be live entertainment featuring a number of area groups and guest will be able to enjoy sliding down the fire pole just like a real firefighter.
As part of the day, the moon walk will be available for those who enjoy a challenge, as well as a great selection of summer foods and beverages. As part of the safety campaign, special passports will be created for children under the age of 10. Families are reminded that this is an outdoor event and that they should dress appropriately. Parent may wish to bring a camera and catch some great shots of their children enjoying the fun.
