Youngsters set for the big screen
March 13, 2013 by Mark
The ‘First Annual Youth Film Festival’ is being presented in a few days’ time by the Evanston Art Center (EAC) – a group that strives to offer its audience unique and fresh initiatives and programs.
This endeavor is being accomplished with the assistance of local partners and provides guidance, resources, and workshops for the children involved. At the event, winning films are to be screened at the new Sherman Avenue theater, which was graciously offered by Rotary International for this viewing.
The organizers of this event are affiliated with Rotary and have worked hard to make this event an outstanding showcase of youth talent. All films shown will be between two and five minutes long and cash prizes will be awarded for high school, elementary, and middle school winning films, with prize announcements taking place on the day. The EAC invites everyone to come out and support the youth in your community, and still has time to get some flyer printing done if it wants to make a late push for more visitors.
Tickets for this viewing are $10 per person and proceeds from the event will benefit the Youth Scholarships for classes at the Evanston Art Center. The inaugural festival will be happening this Sunday, March 17, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Rotary International Center in Evanston, Illinois. To learn more about this event, or to purchase tickets, please visit the Evanston Art Center’s website or call the box office at 847-475-5300.
