Time to get hands-on in Evanston
January 24, 2014 by Lisa
The Hands-On Activities Day is offering a way for the entire family to spend some quality time together while learning how to do various activities and create crafts tomorrow. Suitable for people of all ages, it might be particularly useful for youngsters who fancy themselves as artists and might go on to a career with a graphic design or professional print company one day.
For families who love to have creative fun together, this looks like the perfect place to be on what is likely to be a cold Saturday. The activities that will be enjoyed on this day have been drawn from the pending summer art camp curriculum and provide people with hands-on learning and creating.
The open studio concept provides all guests with a sneak peak of the Early Childhood, Princess, Pirate, Edwardian, and Media Camp games, crafts, and activities that will take place at the summer camp. These hands-on activities provide learning opportunities, hand-eye co-ordination, and work to build confidence and creative thinking in all participants. Registration is recommended, as space is limited.
Admission to this event is free and all residents are welcome. It will be held on Saturday, January 25, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center in Evanston, Illinois. To find out more about this event or to register to attend, please visit the City of Evanston website and its ‘Events’ page, or the venue’s website. Alternatively, call either place during business hours.
