Martin Luther King Jr. celebrated in Evanston

The Celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. day is being hosted by the Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre and the Fleetwood Community Center to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Flyer printing was most likely used to share this celebration day with member of this community and people in the surrounding regions. At this celebration there will be his speech excerpts, dance, and music.
This day of celebration is sure to be entertaining and inspirational. The Master of Ceremony will be the renowned Aubrey Marquez. There will be a number of wonderful guests artist, including the Evanston Children’s Choir, the Evanston Community Drill Team, Christ Temple Praise Dancers, Ajoite Drum and Percussion, the Glass Family Drummers, and outstanding blues guitarist, David Dupont, as well as many others.
The guest speakers will include Paul Wilson, Byron Wilson, former Mayor Lorraine H. Morton, Rev. Kenneth Cherry, and Alderman, Delores A. Holmes. This celebration is a wonderful opportunity for families to come out and learn a little bit about an influential man and enjoy a number of unique and special performances. Special performances will take place throughout the day for this great learning opportunity.
Admission to this event is free and everyone is welcome. The Celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. day will be happening tomorrow, January 19, starting at 12:00 pm at the Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center located at 1655 Foster Street in Evanston, Illinois.
