Evanston Holiday Bash and Tree Lighting opens Friday
November 13, 2012 by Sarah
The Holiday Bash and Tree Lighting is Evanston’s big kick-off to the holiday season. This is a great family event during the evening hours that allows the family to come and share some fun, a tasty dinner out, a trolley ride, and live Christmas carolers making their way through the downtown streets.
During this event, there will be live music in every shop, store, and restaurant you enter, as well as live music in the streets. A group of traveling Christmas carolers will be making their way through the downtown delighting people with traditional favourites. There will be season treats and refreshments available at many of the downtown businesses, as well as special discounts offered on a number of items.
Children can enjoy a trolley ride through the downtown core, and will enjoy time when the Mayor appears with Santa to light the giant tree located in the Fountain Square in the center of downtown. This is a fantastic time to bring the family together and enjoy the coming of the holidays.
Poster printing and flyer printing are a cheap and popular way to remind families that it is that time of year again in Evanston. Admission is free and everyone is welcome to attend. The Holiday Bash and Tree Lighting ceremony will be happening on Friday, November 16 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm in Downtown Evanston and at the Fountain Square located on Sherman Avenue, Davis Street, and Orrington Avenue in Evanston, Illinois. For more information, please visit the Downtown Evanston website or call their office during business hours.
