Evanston businesspeople have options this month

From small business seminars to networking events, the Evanston Chamber of Commerce has put together a well-balanced March calendar for local business owners and professionals.

Among the month’s many highlights is the Small Office Home-Based Office (SOHO) event taking place on the 14th. As the first part of the “Three Elements Needed for Small Business Success”, this presentation will be covering the importance of small businesses having access to technology. The speaker is going to be none other than Carl Kettler of BrightStar Care. In this talk, he’ll be covering the area of telecommunications and suggesting a few low-cost tools that small business owners can use to better serve their customers.

Following this, there will be a Business After Hours meet-up on the 21st and a Networking Breakfast on March 27th. While business card printing is a definite must-have for these events, it’s worth pointing out that the printing services of brochure printers are likely needed as well with attendees being urged to arrive with “marketing materials”. Between the food and the opportunity to connect with new individuals, these are two more events that Evanston entrepreneurs can’t afford to miss.

Last but certainly not least, the Evanston Chamber will be giving its members a chance to interact with the municipal government via “Meet the City: Promote Your Commercial Space for Economic Development”. Also an evening-based event, local professionals will be able to hear firsthand from City of Evanston Economic Development about how to companies can profit from their open commercial space.

While many of these events are free, RSVPs are still required. Interested individuals will have to register quickly.
