Work smarter not harder this month

March 11, 2012 by

Even with the high number of ribbon cuttings and blood drives taking place this March, members of the business community are still able to attend seminars and networking events courtesy of the Edwardsville Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce.

As a starting point, Business After Hours will be hosting its next event on the 22nd of March. Beginning at 5:00 pm and going up until 7:00 pm as usual, this is a networking opportunity that only comes around twice a month. The venue for this particular meet-up is going to be none other than the Global Brew Tap House & Lounge. A fairly new establishment that has a ribbon cutting scheduled to take place before the Business After Hours meeting, business owners and entrepreneurs will be able to interact with one another in a relaxed environment.

A few days after giving businesspeople a chance to exchange business cards in a low-key setting, the Edwardsville Chamber will then be putting on the next part of its “Professional Education Seminar: Work Smarter, Not Harder” series. While most individuals are already somewhat aware of how subcontracting specific jobs like stationery printing or poster printing could prove valuable, there are smaller moves that businesses can use to increase productivity. At this particular meet-up, the subject is “Managing Employee Leave”.

Presented by Sandberg, Phoenix, & von Gontard at Hampton Inn & Suites in Glen Carbon, this event is sure to feature all of the information people are looking for and more. With breakfast and networking already fitted into the agenda, Edwardsville professionals have nothing to lose by showing up.
