January 2, 2012 by James
Whether looking to recruit talent or to simply give back to the community in other ways, the Edwardsville Employment Expo is giving local business owners the opportunity to accomplish their goals.
Working in conjunction with Madison County and several other organizations, the Comptroller of Illinois hopes to provide residents with an opportunity to interact with businesses on January 10th, 2012. In the Edwardsville Employment Expo Packet that can be found at the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce website, Judy Baar Topinka, Comptroller of Illinois, writes:
“…The event will feature many informative programs for job-seekers through our partnerships with Lewis & Clark Community College, Madison County, local chambers of commerce and the Southern Illinois Employers Association.
By working with our state’s strong vendor community, we have a unique opportunity to help our fellow Illinoisans by connecting local residents with businesses like yours that provide products and services to the State of Illinois…”
Since the main role of businesses in this event will be to provide information, advice, or to examine potential employees, print companies are do a lot of tasks like poster printing, flyer printing, and even filling orders as brochure printers.
With the Expo taking place in Edwardsville at the N.O. Nelson Campus of Lewis & Clark Community College, business owners won’t have to travel very far to get involved. Taking place from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Edwardsville Employment Expo is a great opportunity for nearby residents and local businesses alike.
