December 16th Concert Taking Place in Popular Edwardsville Pub
November 21, 2011 by James
If there hasn’t been any poster printing spreading the word around town, lovers of good music will be thrilled to hear that the Charles Walker Band will be performing at the Stagger Inn Again on December 16, 2011. Right on the heels of a Blackfoot Gypsies concert, the Charles Walker Band show will begin at 10:00 p.m. and is scheduled to last roughly 4 hours. If past experience is anything to go by, this concert will not disappoint.
In the band’s own words:
“The Charles Walker Band is a five piece band that performs various styles of blues and R&B with precision and energy. What adds to the band uniqueness, apart from award winning musicians (together for 3 years), is the richness of both the original and cover (BB King, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Muddy Waters) material. As one critic said, ‘Real edge of your seat, power wire blues.’ A quote from the “Livin Blues” magazine describes us best, “…so much energy, you can’t resist but fall in love with every song. You’re drawn in and held for show after show with Charles band.’ “
Sitting on East Vandalia Street, Stagger Inn Again is a local pub and restaurant that has achieved legendary status for good reason. Already recognized for its popularity as a place where people can enjoy some good food and excellent live music, this pub is also noted for its uncanny ability to book and attract talented acts. Those who haven’t yet made plans for the weekend of December 16-17 2011 should consider stopping by the Stagger Inn Again.
