Golf day offers perfect opportunity for dining and networking
August 20, 2012 by Mark
The Deerfield, Bannockburn, Riverwoods Chamber of Commerce is holding its 49th annual golf outing at Deerfield Golf Club, with fees going at $115 for an individual or $650 for a foursome. Guests can also pay $35 for the dinner only.
The fees will include 9 rounds of golf, the use of a golf cart, games with prizes, raffles, door prizes, a steak dinner, and awards. Individuals will be sorted into teams of four. The grand door prize is a trip to Las Vegas and raffles will be drawn during dinner.
With golfing events usually offering a relaxed, informal setting for networking, business professionals in attendance would be wise to arrange for a new business card printing order beforehand. No selling will be done on the golf course but there will be many opportunities to exchange business cards, both while playing and afterwards during dinner. Pristine and up-to-date business cards could therefore go a long way.
With the golf day teeing off on September 12 from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Sponsorships are available from $250 – $500. Local businesses are also encouraged to donate prizes worth $25 and over to the raffles or a wine bottle for the Wine Lover’s Grab Bag. All sponsors will receive recognition at the event, in the program booklet, and on the Chamber’s website. Sponsoring the event is a great way to get a company’s name known in the business community and to help grow a referral network.
