Enjoy Deerfield Family Days
June 25, 2012 by James
The 49th annual Deerfield Family Days is to be held at Brickyards Park on July 3 and at Jewett Park on July 4. Admission is free and there will be something to appeal to everyone in the family.
The celebrations at Brickyards Park will take place from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm. The evening will start with the Raising of the Flag and the singing of the national anthem. There will be food concessions and live entertainment provided by Bizaar Entertainment. The night will end with a fireworks display, which will begin at 9:15 pm.
July 4 at Jewett Park will start off with a pancake breakfast beginning at 8:00 am. There will be many events to take part in including the Deerfield Rotary Club 10K race or 5K walk, a bike parade, a dog show, a petting zoo, carnival rides, a flower show, free swimming at Deerspring and Mitchell pools, a Deerfield Community Concert Band concert, and arts and crafts sales. The main event of the day will be the parade presented by the Deerfield Lions Club, which will travel from Deerspring Pool to Jewett Park, beginning at 12:00 noon.
Vendors who wish to sell their arts and crafts at Deerfield Family Days on July 4 will most probably be depending on local printing companies to help them prepare. Printing companies can provide artists and craftspeople with postcard printing and other services to help promote their work. People love to pick up freebies and artistic postcards might end up on their refrigerators.
Deerfield Family Days is the perfect way to celebrate both the community and the birthday of the United States.
