Those who are interested in attending the upcoming Leaders in Action Program of 2012 will be pleased to hear that the Crystal Lake Chamber Foundation is offering local members and their staff members a scholarship.

In the original announcement Kathleen Caldwell, the Chamber Foundation Chairperson, was quoted as follows:

“The Crystal Lake Chamber Foundation’s Mission is to assist present and future business leaders by providing financial and educational resources to strengthen the area’s business community. We are pleased to announce our support for the Leaders in Action program.”

Taught every Thursday morning from 7:00 a.m.-9:30 a.m. in order to accommodate people’s schedules, the Leaders in Action program is designed to equip students with the management skills and knowledge they need in order to negotiate today’s complex business environment. Whether one works for a Crystal Lake printing company or a local advertising firm, these topics are important to all professionals.

The Crystal Lake Chamber has been providing members of the business community with this training program for an impressive 36 years. Taking special care to feature a different instructor during each class session, students from a wide range of backgrounds will be able to take something away from this course.

Although the Chamber says that the class is valued at a total worth of over $10,000, members and non-members can attend the Leaders in Action sessions for $195 and $245 respectively. That being said, interested individuals will have to put in their applications soon. Leaders in Action courses begin January 12, 2012 and submissions won’t be accepted after 4:00 p.m. on December 1, 2011.
