Bands set to hit the Cary stage

May 2, 2013 by

The upcoming ‘Battle of the Bands’ in Cary is set to be a great family outing featuring some local teen talent and a competition that is second to none in this region.

Live music will be the feature of the day, and bands are still being invited to join in. Poster printing and flyer printing, plus some stationery printing services by local print companies, will likely be used prior to and during this battle to make the most of it all.

It takes place in a wonderful park setting where the children can play on the equipment while the adults enjoy the entertainment. This is one of the hottest competitions that takes place in the Cary area and features a number of teen bands. Participating groups will have the opportunity to appear in front of their peers, parents, and family members, as well as the chance to move onto the Illinois State Fair’s State ‘Battle of the Bands’ Competition.

Musical acts interested in competing are requested to complete the online entry form found on the Cary Park website before returning it to the Cary Park District Community Center. Guests are reminded that this is an outdoor showcase and to dress for the weather of the day.

The Battle of the Bands competition is free to watch on Saturday, May 11, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Lions Park located at 1170 Silver Lake Road in Cary, Illinois, just down the road from Crystal Lake. To learn more about this competition, or to enter it, please visit the Cary Park website or call the organizer at 847-639-6100.
