Downtown Streetfest to pop Champaign’s cork
August 4, 2012 by James
This is the 2nd annual Downtown Streetfest organized by the Champaign Park District in conjunction with the City of Champaign. Last year, the event was so popular that this year two Downtown Streetfests were planned, one in July and this one, in August. This event features some great performances and a number of activities. From 7pm to 9pm, cover band Threebird Eclectic will be performing live. From 10pm to 12am, Ryan Ideus and Feudin’ Hillbillys with entertain the crowd with their great country sound. Throughout the evening, the audience will enjoy blues, rock, folk, and jazz from an assortment of local and talented bands and musicians.
This is an outdoor event so guests are asked to remember a chair or blanket to sit in the park, as well as a sweater as some evenings are chilly. This event is free to all and everyone is welcome to attend. This is a great and entertaining family event. During this event, a number of the stores and restaurants will be open. There will be numerous vendors available to check out as you listen and enjoy these great groups.
Flyer printing, poster printing, and banner printing may have been used to advertise this event to the public and surround communities. For more information, please visit the Champaign Park District website or call their office during normal business hours.
