It seems like Champaign concert-lovers will have their pick of excellent live music this December.
Starting December 8th, 2011 at 7:30 p.m., the unforgettable Wiz Khalifa will be performing at Bloomington’s US Cellular Coliseum. With a career that dates back to 2005, the seasoned hip-hop artist has collaborated with famous names like Rick Ross and performed at venues like Minnesota’s Soundset 2010 festival as well as the worldwide Rock the Bells Festival. Fans are sure to arrive at this one armed with all sorts of poster printing and signs.
Tickets are currently being sold online at prices that range anywhere from $69.00 to $339.00. As such, this concert can be attended by anyone from the budget-conscious to those who are looking to splurge a little bit.
For those who aren’t big fans of the rap/hip-hop scene, Celtic Thunder will be performing a week after Wiz Khalifa at the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts. This eminently talented group is able to trace its roots back as far as 2007.
Billboard.com originally described Celtic Thunder as follows:
“A show rather than a group, Celtic Thunder was conceived by Sharon Browne and written and arranged by Phil Coulter and designed as a contemporary exploration of Celtic music, which means it falls to the pop dance side of the spectrum more than it does to the traditional side.”
With online tickets going from $175-$185, concert-goers can buy ahead of time and be confident in the fact that the performance will satisfy on every level.
