Halloween comes to Rolling Meadows

Halloween is coming early to Rolling Meadows this October. The Community Center has two fun events for children and their parents to help them get ready for that upcoming day. For both events, contact Christine Capra at 847-818-3200 x222.

On October 3, ‘Pumpkins and More’ will take place at the Community Center from 6:00 pm – 6:45 pm. This is a free event but those wishing to take part must register no later than today, September 28. The evening will feature the making of a Halloween craft, a search for pumpkins, storytelling, and everyone will get a treat.

Closer to Halloween, the Halloween Trick or Treat Path will take place at the Community Center on October 26 from 6:00 pm – 7:15 pm. Admission is $5 for residents and $8 for non-residents of Rolling Meadows in advance, or $6 for residents and $8 for non-residents at the door. Children will be able to collect candy from some of their favorite characters, such as Winnie the Pooh and Cinderella. In addition, there will be games, crafts, face painting, and children can have their pictures taken with the characters.

Organizers will no doubt be working with Rolling Meadows printing companies to create a flyer advertising both events. Flyers are quite inexpensive, especially if printed in bulk, and they are the most versatile form of advertising available for this kind of event, seeing as they can be hand-delivered, mailed out, inserted into local newspapers, and distributed to public libraries and stores in the area.
