Local leaders to learn about the State of the County
December 21, 2012 by Mark
Often, chambers of commerce hold events which help to answer many of the questions that business owners have, providing a chance for government officials and businesspersons to meet and discuss those concerns face to face. The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce is holding a ‘State of the County’ event at the Carroll Arts Center on January 15 from 7:30 am – 9:00 am.
Breakfast will be served and the event will feature local and county government officials who will report on the current economic and political climate of the county. It will be helpful to local business leaders to learn what is being done to foster a friendly working relationship between business and government. Those attending will also find out what is planned for the upcoming year. Admission is free but those who plan to attend need to register before January 7. For more information, contact Peggy Soper at 410-848-9050.
The State of the County event will also be a great opportunity for Westminster and area business leaders to grow their referral networks. Many of those attending will no doubt be placing a business card printing order in advance.
After the State of the County, students of the Leadership Carroll program will have the opportunity to ask questions of the government officials such as the Carroll County Commissioners. The Leadership Carroll program is a leadership program which is held at Carroll Community College. Students will have the opportunity to meet and talk to the officials until 4:30 pm.
