Learn about the Towson Chamber of Commerce

The 2012 General Membership Luncheon and Installation of Officers will take place at Auburn House of Towson University on June 17 from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. Tickets are $25 for members and $35 for non-members.

The luncheon will feature guest speaker Kevin Kamenetz and will include a review of the Chamber over the past year, a wrap-up of outstanding business, and the installation of the new Chamber officers. Those planning to join will learn all they need to know about the Chamber and those who plan to attend should RSVP as soon as possible.

As with all Chamber events the luncheon will also be the perfect opportunity to network with members and those who are thinking of joining. The most important tool to bring to a Chamber event is a business card. Printing extras before attending any networking event is a smart decision; the business cards exchanged should be in perfect condition with no tears or folds. Also, business leaders in Towson will want to make sure they do not run out of business cards; 50 is usually the lowest amount of cards that should be brought to a networking event.

Luncheon networking events are almost always the easiest to attend since those at the table are basically a captive audience. It is suggested that someone at the table asks everyone to take turns introducing themselves, give a short informative blurb about their business, exchange cards and then move onto the next one. If possible, those attending luncheons should sit with those they don’t already know to maximize the networking possibilities.
