The B’more Healthy Expo will take place at the Baltimore Convention Center on March 17 from 10 am-5 pm. The theme of the expo is

“go green … and be more healthy”

in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. The Expo is presented by Fox 45 and The CW. Admission is free.

Vendors from all over the Baltimore area, including Stevensville, who specialize in selling healthy, green products and related services, should make a point of taking part in the expo. The smart ones might well visit their local printing company and arrange to have literature printed to hand out to those who pass by their exhibit table. Everyone loves to take something home with them, and freebies are always appreciated.

The Expo will feature health screenings, risk assessments, interactive exhibits, lots of activities, workout classes from fitness experts, lots of and a dance stage. There will also be cooking demonstrations from local chefs on the What’s Cookin’ Stage, family workouts, sports challenges, rock climbing, golf, football and gymnastics shows from the University of Maryland Gymkana.

Many community health organizations will also be in attendance with lots of health information for free. This will most likely include nutritional advice, preventative care information and literature on any number of health problems and diseases.

Medical care is becoming more expensive every day. We have to find ways to stay healthy and avoid having to pay for preventative illness; education is the way to do that and expositions such as the B’more Healthy Expo are helping to educate the public.
