Kent Island to give two November holiday shopping sessions

October 27, 2013 by

With the holiday shopping season rapidly approaching, two events this November on Kent Island will allow many to get a start on their gift buying and get in the mood for the festive season.

The Kent Island American Legion’s Auxiliary Craft Fair will be taking place over two days in early November. In addition to plenty of unique and handmade items, guests will be able to enjoy food concessions, receive door prizes, and take part in raffles. Among the many vendors who showed up at last year’s fair was Usborne Books, which was voted Children’s Publisher of the Year for 2012.

Another event, which takes place once a week, is the Kent Island Farmers Market. An excellent place to find locally produced food, artisan cheeses and breads, it will offer a wide variety of items that could easily be used to create a gift basket for a friend or loved one. Additionally, it provides a chance to learn about what types of food items are locally produced.

Both events attract people from all over the Stevensville area. It is likely that local printing companies will be helping to advertise them by providing services such as flyer printing.

The Auxiliary Craft Fair is taking place at American Legion Post 278 from November 2 to 3. Admission is free. To learn more about it, contact Vicky at 410-643-2728.

The Kent Island Farmers Market is held on Thursdays at Christ Church from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm..
