Help raise money for the volunteer fire department
July 17, 2012 by James
The Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department Carnival will take place at Kent Island High School on July 22 – 28 from 5:00 pm – 11:00 pm. An all-day rides pass is $15 per day with proceeds going towards supporting the Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department.
The carnival will feature several rides and games, bingo games, food, fireworks, picture taking opportunities with the firemen, and the Life Safety Trailer. Fireworks will take place on July 27 and 28 beginning at 9:30 each night. There will also be information displays on how children between the ages of 14 and 16 can become cadets with the volunteer fire department. It is very likely that Stevensville printing companies will be providing fire and other safety information for the Life Safety Trailer. Brochures, posters, flyers, and booklets can all provide the information that people need to know about avoiding accidents and injury. Print companies can also provide them with promotional items to give out to children for a very reasonable price.
Volunteer fire departments are becoming more and more important and there is no question that, without them, a lot more lives and buildings would be lost to fire. Events such as the carnival give those in the community a chance to show how important volunteer fire departments are and how much they are appreciated. The carnival will also be a fun way to spend a hot summer evening, offering something for every member of the family to enjoy with its range of enjoyable activities.
