Fall festival swings by for family fun

The Kent Island United Methodist Church Fall Family Festival will be free to attend and is scheduled to take place this weekend. Featuring arts and crafts vendors, children’s activities, food concessions, magicians, musical entertainment, scarecrow stuffing, and pumpkin decorating, there will definitely be something to appeal to every member of the family and lots of fun to be had by all at the festival.
With the holidays now firmly on the mind, it might also be a chance to pick up a holiday gift for a close friend or family member who has everything, as guests are sure to find a unique and handmade gift.
Artists and craftspeople can rent a 10 x 10 space for $30 or can pay $45 for two spaces. Vendors must have all items they are selling approved by the organizers and they must bring their own tents, tables and chairs.
Vendors from the area, including neighboring Stevensville, are bound to be working alongside local printing companies in preparation for the festival. Investing in banner printing or postcard printing will help differentiate their booths from the others. For example, a colorful banner can be hung over a table to draw attention to a vendor’s items, while a postcard can double as a business card for an artist, perhaps providing a sample of their work in an easily distributable format.
The festival will take place in Chester on November 3 from 9:00 am – 7:00 pm. The event has its own website with more information.
