Valentine’s dance will help local Humane Society

The 2nd annual Valentine’s Cotillion is taking place this February in Salisbury. It is a fundraising event for the Humane Society of Wicomico County.

Guests who attend will enjoy a sit down dinner and a silent auction; those who wish to drink are encouraged to bring their own beverages. Currently, some of the items up for auction are hotel stays, gift baskets and even a baseball autographed by Nolan Reimold of the Baltimore Orioles. After dinner, there will be dancing set to music provided by DJ Wookie.

Sponsorships are also available for local businesses and individuals from $100; all sponsors will receive recognition on the society’s website and in the program booklet. Those who donate $250 or more will also have their company name and logo displayed on a sign at the event. When companies need program books in Salisbury they often hire local brochure printers to provide them; either for an inexpensive price or as a charitable donation. These books not only serve as a guide to an event, they also serve as a souvenir.

One other fundraising effort by the Humane Society is their cookbook which is currently selling on the website for $10. All of these fundraising efforts go to ensure the continued running of the society and its efforts to rehome pets.

The Valentine’s Cotillion is being held at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center on February 15 form 6:00 – 11:00 PM. Tickets are $40 each or $250 for a table of eight. To learn more about this event, contact Kayla at 410-749-7603.
