Two upcoming events in the Salisbury area will help to raise funds to help dogs and other pets of Wicomico County.

The Salisbury Maryland Kennel Club Responsible Dog Ownership Day is taking place in September. The day includes a walk for dogs and their owners, safety demonstrations, a parade, games, food, and a variety of vendors. Proceeds raised from this event will help to purchase dog safety vests and small animal oxygen masks.

The 1st annual Humane Society of Wicomico County Four Man Best Ball is also taking place this September. This golf tournament will help to raise funds for the Humane Society. It will include golf, lunch, raffles, and an awards presentation. Fees are $225 for a team of four or $60 per person; the cost is $25 per person just for lunch and the other activities. Those who are interested must register by August 30.

Both of these events will likely attract a lot of dog and other pet owners in the Salisbury area. It’s also likely that the organizers of each event have invested is services from local print companies to help advertise them throughout the community.

Responsible Dog Ownership Day will take place at Winterplace Park in Salisbury on September 21 from 9:00am – 1:00pm. Call 410-548-2110 for more information.

The Four Man Best Ball will be held at Wood Creek Golf Course in Delmar on September 28 from 8:00am – 1:00pm. Contact Kayla at 443-366-5466 for more information.
