Salisbury Zoo looks for funds through June event
May 27, 2013 by Sarah
Zoobilation, a fund raiser for the Friends of the Salisbury Zoo, is taking place this June. The event is suitable for those aged 21 and over.
The suggested dress for the evening is ‘safari casual’. Guests will enjoy adult beverages, the music of On the Edge, plenty of food to enjoy, a silent auction, and a live auction. It should be a fun evening for those in the community who are interested in the upkeep of the zoo and its continued improvement, or anyone who simply wants to enjoy a midsummer night out.
It is very likely that local businesses will be donating the items for these auctions. Many of them might want to use the services of Salisbury printing companies to advertise their participation in this important charity event. This will have the effect of showing that the company cares about the community and will also probably encourage some of the recipients to attend the event themselves.
Funds raised will go to the ‘Renew the Zoo’ campaign for a new animal clinic, the William E. Morgan Environmental Center, a new exhibit, and the purchase of new animals, among other things. The campaign has already reached and surpassed its goal of $3m, but continued funds will no doubt lead to even better additions to the zoo.
Zoobilation will take place at the Salisbury Zoo on June 22 from 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Tickets are $50 for zoo members or $60 for non-members, and guests receive two drink tickets. For more information, contact Cathy at 410-742-3977.
